We then learned the conjugations of the verb "avoir" (to have), as it's really useful in a health unit. You use it every time you want to say that you hurt somewhere:

- arm le bras
- throat la gorge
- head la tête

We started in with "à", learning that it means one of three things: in, at, or to. Context will tell you how to translate it if you see it in a sentence. I was going to move on to learn about the à la" business, but we all got a bit tired of French at this point (15 minutes left in class), so we played Zig Zag Zog. I had fun, hope you did too!

I handed out our textbooks, and directed you to page 270, which has a conversation between Jean-Marc and a doctor, and I assigned roles to everyone in the class. You'll be performing this little conversation at the end of unit, off-script, in front of the class with your partner. Here is an audio file of the conversation for your reference:
Homework: 1) keep practicing your alphabet, and practicing your "e" and "a" sounds; 2) memorize your first two lines of "J-M est Malade"; 3) be ready to write the tiniest of quizzes tomorrow morning on the following vocabulary: la tête, les yeux, le cou, la gorge, le bras. Spelling will count. ♥
le 7 sept: Bienvenue à la classe! Today we learned about l'argot, played Je Passe, gamified our curriculum, and learned the alphabet.
